There were plenty of permanent staff at RAF Cranage, but many of those who came were posted to the airfield for training at the No.2 School of Air Navigation [later the Central Navigation School] and as a result of this, a huge number of people were only there for a brief time. This, along with the passage of time and a lack of records makes it all the more difficult to trace people.
I try to add as much information on personnel as possible so that visitors to the web site can get a wider view of life at R.A.F. Cranage, the V-A factory and the surrounding area. Where those who were there on training exercises are concerned it also allows the viewer to see why the training was so important and how it contributed to their role at a later date.
If you, or someone you know/knew were at Cranage then we really would like to hear from you. You can telephone or e-mail me using the details on the contact page or, if you would prefer to write to me, please telephone me for my postal address.
